China Fundraising Letter

Changing China Fundraising Letter

Dear _________,

In ________ of 2015, I will join a group of volunteers to China on a mission to help a local non-profit middle school for migrant children. The community projects we will be working on are quite varied, from teaching basic English, improving the school’s infrastructure and environmental work.

The project location is in the 5th Ring district of Beijing. The volunteers and I will see the stark contrast between China’s ancient traditions and rush to modernization, between soaring consumerism and shocking poverty. The non-profit middle school for migrant children needs major assistance in various projects such as: painting classrooms, building furniture, and improving bathroom facilities. I will also help teach English pronunciation and other essential skills.

By making a pledge on my behalf, you are supporting global sustainability projects on a local level, and contributing to a greater world of understanding and awareness. My goal is to raise at least $________ this year. Over 85% of your contribution goes directly to the programs.
Please help me reach that goal with your pledge. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for your tax records.

I appreciate your consideration in sponsoring me. Your support, no matter what the amount, is deeply appreciated. You can donate online, by clicking here.

Globe Aware, a non-profit volunteer organization, is leading and organizing the program. Upon my return, I will send out a brief recap of the volunteer experience to all my sponsors. Thank you in advance for your support. Please call me if you have any questions or comments about this program. I can be reached at ___________phone number.

Sincerely,
