India Fundraising Letter

Fighting Poverty in India Fundraising Letter

Dear _________,

In ________ of 2015, I will join a group of volunteers to India on a mission to help a struggling community to achieve sustainability. The community projects we will be working on are quite varied, from teaching English, working with rescued child laborers and assisting at day care centers catering to children below the poverty line.

The worksite will be held in Jaipur, also known as “The Pink City”. It is called this because of their distinctly colored buildings, which were originally painted that color to imitate the red sandstone architecture of Mughal cities.

Along with the main projects, I will also have the opportunity to participate in beautification activities at government schools, day care centers and other public facilities.

By making a pledge on my behalf, you are supporting global sustainability projects on a local level, and contributing to a greater world of understanding and awareness. My goal is to raise at least $_____ this year. Over 85% of your contribution goes directly to the programs.
Please help me reach that goal with your pledge. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for your tax records.

I appreciate your consideration in sponsoring me. Your support, no matter what the amount, is deeply appreciated. You can donate online, by clicking here .

Globe Aware, a non-profit volunteer organization, is leading and organizing the program. Upon my return, I will send out a brief recap of the volunteer experience to all my sponsors. Thank you in advance for your support. Please call me if you have any questions or comments about this program. I can be reached at ___________phone number.

Sincerely,
