Malawi Flooding Crisis

Due to heavy rains and winds, there is a flooding crisis in Africa. As of 8th March a cumulative total of 29,892 houses have collapsed and 3,255 families are in evacuation centers such as schools, churches and other Government facilities, in Malawi. The figure is most likely to keep rising, with four people already pronounced dead due to this disaster.

Malawi is one of our three African program locations, and it breaks our hearts to see them in need. We have set up a fundraiser so that necessary supplies can be bought. Our coordinator Imedi will make sure your donations go towards helping these families. Here’s what your contribution will go to.

  • Shelter - total of 25 tents (72*72) for those that are currently affected but are occupying schools
  • Blankets
  • Clothes
  • Buckets
  • Plates
  • Pots
  • Medication
  • Toilets at evacuation sites
