Live Buddhist Monk Chanting from Siem Reap, Cambodia!
Join a Buddhist Monk Live from Cambodia: Chanting
Join us for a live class from Siem Reap, Cambodia, with an actual Buddhist monk, to learn about Buddhism and their spiritual beliefs.
This is a wonderful opportunity to talk directly with a monk about any questions you might have about Buddhism (their faith encourages them to ask others about their spiritual beliefs also!) Did you know that most men in Thailand and Cambodia become a monk for at least a few months of their lives? Novice monks start at age 12. Did you know that the monks shave not only their heads but their eyebrows too? Find out why. There are some fascinating rules, from what they eat, to what they wear. The session will be broken into a discussion about Buddhism, meditation, practice, and close with a few minutes for any additional question and answers. This is a fascinating peak into a marvelous culture, which will hopefully wet your appetite to check out the people and its culture face-to-face one day, or at the very least, expand your world view.
